This page is about Sobbers. You might be looking for Gloombers, Weepers, or Whimperers; the other 'Sad-Glag' mutations.
Sobbers are an uncommon Giggler mutation. They are the main inhabitants of Frowntown, a megalopolis that's almost completely devoid of fun, games, and happiness. They have no idea about the Glaggleland Massacre and spend their lives working in cubicles and sleeping. Sobbers, similar to other sad Glaggle variants, are caused when Gigglers lose their vitamin J. They lose their vitamin J during a very distressing event that they could be situated in. This lack of vitamin J can carry on during mitosis, causing the Glooble to be a Sobber as well.
Sobbers are the sad version of Gigglers.
Appearance[]
Sobbers, much like the other sad glaggle mutations, appear as sad, blue versions of Gigglers. Their mouths are shaped like long, short curves, unlike the Giggler’s deeper smile. Sobbers also have folded in mouth ends. This is from the Giggler’s mouth end turning more inward, due to the constant frowning. The eyes of a Sobber typically look deep, and tired, with bags under them. The area where the Sobbers eyes are is often more darker and shadowed.
Personality[]
Sobbers, much like their name suggests, are always in a sad mood, very antisocial, and are often sad, unlike their joyous counterpart. Unlike the other three sad glaggle mutations, Sobbers are more collected than given credit for, and not always crying and breaking down, unlike how Gigglers depict them.
Sobbers are often laidback, and calm, but can get agitated if having a rougher day than usual. It’s best to not mess with an annoyed Sobber, as they can get quite verbally aggressive, but never really hurt anyone unless it gets to that point.
Due to them being more emotionally stable compared to the other sad glags, they make up most of the work force in Frowntown, typically typing away at computers in office buildings, or doing roadwork for the streets of Other countries. Sobbers are typically not athletic, and are unable to do many physical activities. Even fast movements make them feel woozy!
Conversion into a Giggler[]
If they're exposed to enough fun, happiness, and similar emotions, they'll slowly turn into a Giggler. Conversely, if a Giggler spends too much time in Frowntown, they'll gradually turn into a Sobber (Pretty simple stuff, I reckon.). There’s also a middle stage during the transformation. They aren’t part of the Glaggle class, but they do have distinguishing features — a lime-colored skin, a completely straight mouth, and straight mouth corners.

Sobbers have amassed quite a bunch of misinformation regarding them and their homeland.
First off, the 'old design'. It was actually just a bad artistic interpretation that went really viral. Some scientists debunked this by imagining themselves turning into a Sobber and feeling their skulls warp along with their eyeballs turning square. Seriously though, imagine how painful that would be!
Another fallacy was some Gloober insisting that they live in a place called "Soberia", but this was recently debunked by local sea explorer Glistoflurp Globombus, who sailed in search of Soberia and ended up finding nothing. "Yeah man, it's just not there, man!" was one of his quotes from an interview that has gained some popularity on the Enphosoweb, where those Enphosians would mock him for wasting his own time.
Some other explorers then decided to go north and found Frowntown, which is the actual place the Sobbers originate from. They took some pictures of the place and a talented artist decided to draw the Sobbers' real appearance, which is the image currently used.
Subspecies/Variants[]
Glumbros[]
Glumbros are the sad variant of Gimbros. They appear similar to average Gimbros, but due to being a Giggler subspecies, share similarities with Sobbers, such as their blue coloring instead of yellow. Unlike many sad variants, Glumbros are actually rarely frowning, instead, they typically have a woozy, drunken smile, with same mouth-ends as a typical Gimblos, along with a blush, and a sickly green coloring across their face. When a Gimbro becomes a Glumbro, they try desperately to stop the transformation, doing anything to keep them happy, chill, and relaxed. This sadly often leads the Gimbro to develop addictions to substances like alcohol, however in rare cases, it can be any drug. Because of their constant drinking, they are almost always drunk, giving their blush and green coloring. Glumbros are often incomprehensible when speaking, however they always try and deny their problems. When sober, Glumbros are often very scared and timid, and constantly drink until they’re blackout drunk. Glumbros, due to almost always being drunk, are not allowed to drive, and there have been several unfortunate incidents where that happened.
Slobs[]
Slobs are a common Sobber subspecies, and also the sad variant of Glogs. They share several similarities with typical Glogs, along with the features of a Sobber. Slobs are light blue in color, resembling the light yellow gradient of Glogs. They also have shorter, frowning mouths and a tired expression. Similar to common Sobbers, Slobs aren’t always sad—rather, they tend to be more tired and exhausted. Unlike common Glogs, Slobs are notably much lazier than their joyous counterpart, often not bothering to clean up around their homes or even bathe themselves! Slobs are also much more reclusive and quiet than average Glogs, rarely talking to anyone and barely speaking to their friends. This makes it quite difficult to convert them back into Glogs, due to their antisocial nature. One thing Slobs retain from their transition is their intelligence, proving to be very smart and capable of hard work if properly encouraged! Despite being a sad variant, most Slobs continue to live in main Glaggleland!
Blueberryade Sobbers[]
Blueberryade Sobbers are a common Sobber variant, and the sad variant of Lemonade Gigglers. They share many features with basic Lemonade Gigglers, such as having a solid color, thinner mouths, triangular mouth-ends, and shorter, oval eyes. Due to being a sad variant, they also share features with basic Sobbers, being blue, and frowing. Blueberryade Sobbers, similar to typical Lemonade Gigglers, are largly unintelligent, which they are often self-consious about, and only worsens their mood, making them easily confused and scared, as well as leading them to be made fun of often by others. Blueberryade Sobbers, despite their sad and nervous mood, are still very polite and kind, often doing their best to cheer up other Blueberryade Sobbers, or just be friends with others around them. This also leads to Blueberryade Sobbers often staying with one person, or a group of people they feel comfortable with, which is typically other Lemonade Gigglers. Lemonade Gigglers, despite being rather weak, often do their best to protect Blueberryade Sobbers, recongizing them to be vulnerable, and doing their best to cheer them back up! Because of this, similar to Cherribles, Blueberryade Sobbers aren't too common, and are rarely born as such, due to being quite easy to make happy! Strangly, Blueberryade Sobbers often don't eat the usual 10,000 grams of sugar, and prefer bitter foods to eat!
Sappols[]
Sappols are a common subspecies of Sobbers, and are the sad variant of Glappols. Sappols appear similar to average Glappols, along with having similar features as a basic Sobber. They have a frown with curved mouth-ends, a blue color, shorter, oval eyes, and, just like a typical Glappol, a shine resembling an Enfosi disguise! Just like a normal Glappol, Sappols have poor eyesight, making them rather vulnerable. Sappols are similar to Weepers in behavior, as in always being exhausted, tired, and anti-social. They usually form from Glappols being bullied and hated against, due to being mistaken for Enfosi, resulting in them losing Vitamin J, and isolating themselves from society. Due to their new appearance, they become mistaken for Enfosi much less often, however this also leads to many Sappols not wanting to convert back, due to not being bullied anymore. This makes Sappols the hardest Sobber subspecies to convert back into their joyous variant! Once converting into a Sappol, the Sappol will typically retreat to Frowntown to get away from the people who bullied them. The existence of Sappols often leads more uneducated glaggles to mistake them for Sobber Enfosi, which are unable to exist!

- Sobbers don’t only live in Frowntown, they also inhabit quieter places, like safe parts of Gazoland, or Weirdose.
- Despite what many people think, most naturally born Sobbers would rather stay how they are, rather than be joyous.
- Gigglers that turned into Sobbers seem to be the complete opposite, however.
- Like other Sad-Glags, when a Sobber becomes an Enfosi, they’ll become a Giggler variant, due to them technically being Gigglers.
- Gergros don't have a sad variant.
